UPCOMING EVENTS

Starting April 12th, Remaker will be hosting fortnightly Stitch 'n Bitch nights. Bring along your knitting or crocheting and some good vibes! Open to all levels and people.

This is a Koha event. Email stephanie@remaker.co.nz to rsvp.

Stitch 'n Bitch groups have existed since WWII. They were created for women to gather to knit, mend and share opinions & support for one another.
In the 1980's the groups were an integrial part of the liberalist political movement.
Indigenous cultures, particularly wahine and takatapui use stitches and weaving to support their livelihood and cultural identities.
Today, they are a way for people of all ages, abilities and gender identites to share time together.
